1973- First year of high school hockey in Saratoga.  (Abbreviated year due to natural ice).

1974- Saratoga High School organizes a Club Hockey Team

1976- Section II approves Independent Ice Hockey League.

1977- The Capital District High School Hockey League (CDHSHL) is formed.

1979- Troy High School wins the very first Capital District High School Hockey League Championship after a double overtime 3-2 win over LaSalle Institute at the RPI Fieldhouse.

1985-86 The Glens Falls Indians join the CDHSHL in the Independent Division.

2000-01- Queensbury Spartans join the CDHSHL in the Independent Division, sparking an instant rivalry with the cross-town Glens Falls Indians.  To commemorate this game, the winner will receive possession of an antique hockey stick and this game will now be known as "The Stick Game".

2001-02 Guilderland Dutchman join the CDHSHL.

Saturday, February 15, 2003- After playing high school hockey for over 50 years,  Troy High School (Troy/Columbia) plays its last CDHSHL game and disbands as a franchise.
